34: The Stories We Share

Image
"Inside each of us is a natural-born storyteller, waiting to be released." -Robin Moore A multitude of stories   reside inside each of us. Every day we live, every moment we spend, and every choice we make are snippets of the story that make up our lives. We are our own authors and the primary writers of our life's plot. It comes to life when the storyteller fills it with wondrous worlds or foreign lands where the characters move and tell their narrative. It is a principal element of a story, one where the reader can escape to and take unprecedented adventures that only happen in one's imagination.  This week, the kindergarteners learned about the setting of a story, and how it shapes the characters that move around it. The kindergarteners also had an opportunity to unlock the word 'setting' and to share some examples of their favorite places where stories happen.  A setting can be: a castle unicorn land candy land the beach rainbow land Lego land What I love about the places the children shared...
